Day 01 –Airport / Dambulla
Meet the representative of Indulge Lanka Travel at Colombo airport and transferred the group to a hotel near Dambulla.
Day 02 – Bike ride/ Climb Sigiriya
Have breakfast and bike ride near to Sigiriya rock. Sigiriya is few miles from Dambulla to through Green Paddy fields.
Sigiriya (Lion’s rock) is a place with a large stone and ancient rock built by King Kashyapa. Surrounded by the remains of an extensive network of gardens, reservoirs, and other structures. Sigiriya is also renowned for its ancient paintings (frescos), which are reminiscent of the Ajanta Caves of India. It is one of the eight World Heritage Sites of Sri Lanka.
After the 14th century, the monastery complex was abandoned. British archaeologist HCP Bell discovered the ruins in 1898, which were further excavated by British explorer John Still in 1907. This site complete with relatively sophisticated architecture, engineering, urban planning, hydraulic technology, gardening and art.
After coming down from the rock, take you on a Bullock Cart for a ride and have lunch on a paddy field.
Day 03 – Dambulla / Kandy/ Hiking and Trekking in Hanthana
After breakfast transfer to Kandy and check in hotel. In the afternoon transfer to Hanthana, one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in Sri Lanka for Hiking and Trekking. After the trekking, return to the hotel in Kandy.
Day 04 –Kandy/ Kitulgala water rafting / Camping
After breakfast transfer to Kitulgala for water rafting. Lunch buffet during the rafting.
White Water Rafting Experience in Kitulgala covering 5 major rapids and 4 minor rapids. This activity is for anyone above the age of 10 years with safety gear, modern rafts. Comprehensive safety briefing will be given. The distance covered is around 5 KM. The river and its surrounding will make you feel enchanted, with a memorable experience during your White Water Rafting Tour in Kitulgala.
Distance covered is about 5 km. 1:30 hour tour, including lunch.After lunch Rock sliding and some more team building activities in Kitulgala like Crocodile walk, Pipes & marble, flip the tarp, Spider web, Flying soft toy, globe transfer, Electric fenceJ and Count down.BBQ dinner and Overnight stay in Kitulgala Camps.
Day 05 – Kitulgala Cycling/ Belilena Cave/ Udawalawe
After breakfast cycling to Kitulgala Belilena Cave
Belilena is a famous large cave in Sri Lanka. It is located 8km from the town of Kitulgala. It holds evidence of a lost generation of Sri Lankans some 12,000 years old; at this time the cave was occupied by Balangoda Man, described as Homo sapiens balangodensis by Paul E. P. Deraniyagala, who found ten skeletons of these people. They lived 2000 feet above sea level. It is believed they lived 32,000 years ago.
Afternoon transfer to Udawalawe check in Hotel Grand Udawalawe.
Day 06 – Udawalawe Jeep Safari/ Hikkaduwa
After breakfast proceed jeep safaris in Udawalawe National Park.
Udawalawe National Park
Udawalawe National Park lies on the boundary of Sabaragamuwa and Uva Provinces, in Sri Lanka. The national park was created to provide a sanctuary for wild animals displaced by the construction of the Udawalawe reservoir on the Walawe River, as well as to protect the catchment of the reservoir. Udawalawe is an important habitat for Sri Lankan elephants, which are relatively easy to see in its open habitats. Many elephants are attracted to the park because of the Udawalawe reservoir, with a herd of about 250 believed to be permanently resident.
The Rusty-spotted cat, fishing cat and Sri Lankan leopard are members of the Felidae family present in Udawalawe. The Sri Lankan sloth bear is seldom seen because of its rarity. Sri Lankan sambar deer, Sri Lankan axis deer, Indian muntjac, Sri Lankan spotted chevrotain, wild boar and water buffalo are among other mammal species. Golden jackal, Asian palm civet, toque macaque, tufted grey langur and Indian hare also inhabit the park.
In the mid-evening transfer to Hikkaduwa.
Day 07 – Hikkaduwa/ Departure
Relax in Hikkaduwa beach and transfer to the airport on time for the departure.
